THINGS TO DO IN MONTAUK IN THE WINTER
A chill in the air doesn’t mean the waves stop rolling and the seaside views disappear in Montauk. In fact, during this time of year, when the crowds are sparse, there are still plenty of things to do in Montauk in the winter. Follow along to our winter guide for travel ideas for a winter respite to our seaside town.
COZY UP BY THE FIRE AT DAUNT’S ALBATROSS
Guests at Daunt’s Albatross Motel are always warmly welcomed, and there’s no exception in the cooler months. Our outdoor fire pits, located in the courtyard and just steps from our Montauk lodging accommodations, are a treat for visitors during the winter, including ample seating for friends and family to share stories and laughs.
Or stay in our Koda Suite that includes its own fireplace in the living area for added warmth.
ENJOY ONE OF THE BEST VIEWS IN MONTAUK
The Montauk Lighthouse, which has overlooked the Atlantic Ocean and Block Island Sound for 225 years, features magnificent views of the sea and surrounding Montauk. Commissioned in 1792 by President George Washington, the lighthouse is one of Long Island’s most prominent landmarks. The grounds and gift shop are open between December 3rd - December 18th, 2022 Saturdays and Sundays, from 1 pm to 3 pm and offer equally gorgeous views.

This indoor entertainment center features 30+ games in the arcade, from crane games to Skee Ball, and ten bowling lanes with lane-side drink and dining services and bites that will appease any appetite.
